The Arrow Sofa by Alireza Shafiei is Winner in Product Design Category, 2019.
INSPIRATION:
We used minimal shapes and lines to design this piece of furniture, and tried to show the feeling of movement and dynamism by using triangular shapes in accordance with the origami philosophy. In this way, the furniture remains beautiful even without any symmetry in the form. From different views, the lines and angles of the forms are convergent and parallel, and that creates a pyramidal shape. the energy accumulated at the tip of the pyramid can visually reduce stress and anxiety and increase calmness in the audience. “Arrow” is a luxury tow-seat sofa designed for sitting and lounging
